Love Your Enemy

If I can convince myself that it's ok to love a neighbor but hate an enemy, then that raises a question— well, what's the difference between a neighbor and an enemy? … I'm the difference. The difference is me. I'm the difference between a neighbor and an enemy. My perception of that person— it is how I label another human being. … But the kind of courageous, world-changing love that Jesus commands says that I will look at another person and I will refuse to see an enemy.
